Maisha Lani

Maisha Lani is a composer and performer whose compositions infuse jazz, pop, soul and R&B. She finds inspiration from great singers and composers such as Bill Withers and Nina Simone, but looks to contemporary musical approaches to help push her pieces into new and interesting territories. She currently is studying composition at the University of Santa Cruz, composing for her solo project and composing/performing with Bay Area trio Sass N Harmony.
